The project is part of an urban development along Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Park opposite the new ‘Daimler City’ at Potsdamer Platz. The complex consists of four building blocks defining inner courtyards with pergolas, on a joint two-storey base. This configuration made it possible to create three open spaces on different levels between the separate blocks, i. e. two cherry tree gardens and a sun terrace above the fitness area towards the park. A water feature marks the centre of the complex: water wells up through a stone and into a pool. For one thing, this improves the micro-climate, for another, it is a soothing acoustic element against noises from the park.
