VGH INSURANCE COMPANY

Hannover / 2010

The VGH Warmbüchenkamp Hannover ensemble housing office, classroom and residential units, is an extension of the Hannover VGH Insurance group’s quarters, complementing the existing urban structure on the city’s east perimeter. The three crystalline structures positioned on a common stone plateau with trick fountains form a unique composition. Generous entrance halls, conference rooms, classroom areas with additional office space, as well as two-storey apartments in Buildung 3, all offer lots of rooms for working, learning, and city living in comfort. Innovative glass facades with floor-to ceiling open windows above a stone plinth are especially designed with summertime temperature control in mind. Implementation of a combination of concrete center activation and rainwater usage results in significant resource savings.
